Agency Membership ApplicationThe Arkansas Transit Association is a growing, active group of Arkansas transportation providers. Membership in ATA provides a wide range of services for its participating organizations.
- Provides technical assistance by delivering timely information, seeking solutions for problem areas, answering questions, offering leadership in coordination efforts, sharing resources, monitoring proposed state and federal actions, and educating the public and legislators about transportation issues.
- Sponsors the Annual Arkansas Public Transportation Conference featuring informative and entertaining programs such as emergency preparedness, crisis communication, low-cost marketing, over the counter and prescription drugs, violence in the workplace and personnel issues, plus the opportunity to network with colleagues, meet vendors, and view transit industry products.
- Delivers low-cost, professional training to over 2,000 drivers, supervisors, transportation managers, and staff.
- Manages Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortiums for public transit systems, non-profit agencies employing CDL drivers, and agencies with non-DOT staff.
- Operates the Arkansas Public Transit Safety and Resource Center, a first-class training and support facility conveniently located in North Little Rock.
ATA's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program is one of the best in the country. More than 50 transit and non-profit agencies participate in the personalized consortium services and training seminars. Under federal law, public transit systems and agencies with vehicles that require drivers to have a Commercial Driver's License must test for drugs and alcohol. ATA assists members with the complex federal regulations. We also manage a non-DOT testing program.
Arkansas Transit Association membership dues help ensure that the above programs and other benefits are available to member agencies.
