In 2009 the ATAWCSIT issued a refund of surplus premiums in the amount of $500,000 to the 31 member organizations for the 2007 policy period.

In an effort to continue these good results, BancorpSouth Insurance Services is sponsoring the first workshop for ATAWCSIT members. This workshop will be an opportunity to discuss the following items:

• Tips for properly reporting Workers Compensations claims
• Medcorp / Nurse Triage reporting of Workers Compensation claims
• EEOC Enforcement Guidance: Workers Compensation and the ADA
• Job Accommodations for Return-to-Work
• Drug Testing for Workers Compensation claims

Conference Structure 

The purpose of this conference is to exchange knowledge and experience in providing transportation services to customers throughout Arkansas.  To maximize learning and the sharing of information and ideas, time for networking with colleagues, presenters, and exhibitors will be available throughout the conference.  The programs offered are the direct result of ATA member input.

This conference will benefit transit managers, supervisors, personnel involved with operations, planning, human resources, and maintenance, industry vendors, and others interested in community transportation. 

We have the some of the best providers around the country!Last week we sent out over 400 pieces of mail to 2009 members and prospects to ask again for their support and involvement of ATA.

Last week ATA exhibited at the Arkansas Developmental Disabilities Provider Association's 2010 Spring Conference.  We really enjoyed being a part of the program.

Diamond State Bus, Conway, AR was also amongst familiar faces.  They have partnered with one of ATA's newest Associate Vendor Members, AngelTrax Bus Video to bring transit providers a wide range of products and services through video monitoring.

Several members stopped by throughout the day. It was great to be able to educate other agencies of the benefits of ATA membership.  Sometimes a attractive brochure or flyer can't compete with 1-on-1 interaction.
