ATA WORKERS’ COMPENSATION SELF-INSURED TRUST FUND

The ATA Workers' Compensation Self-Insured Trust Fund was created July 1, 2006, to help reduce rates and claims for qualified members.  It features a safety assessment and training, Nurse Triage and Back-to-Work Programs, and free evaluations of insurance costs.

ANNUAL ARKANSAS PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION CONFERENCE

ATA sponsors an Annual Conference where members enjoy discounted registration fees as they learn about timely issues and visit with product and service suppliers. The 2010 conference will be October 18 -20 at the Airport Holiday Inn Conference Center Little Rock, Arkansas.

TRAINING PROGRAM

ATA’s Training Program has consistently been nationally recognized as one of the best in the country.  Low-cost, professional training is delivered each year to over 2,000 drivers, supervisors, and staff in Arkansas’ most comprehensive passenger transportation training program.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING

Our Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs are among the best in the country.  Test costs are lower because over 60 transit and non-profit agencies participate in our personalized DOT and non-DOT consortium services, and ATA offers a free model substance abuse testing policy and documents.

  • Public transit systems that test under FTA
  • Agencies  with CDL drivers that conduct tests under FMCSA
  • Workers’ Compensation Self-Insured Trust Fund member agencies that have a non-DOT post-accident testing program
  • Agencies licensed by DHS/DDS with ACS Waiver employees that must have pre-employment and random drug testing and a policy that states whether they conduct testing on other employees, especially drivers of agency vehicles

ATA’s first-class training and support facility for members is conveniently located in North Little Rock.

BACKGROUND SEARCHES

Low-cost, on-line searches are provided by Intellicorp through our Background Check Alliance.  Services include instant national criminal record checks, out-of-state driver records, and work history.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

ATA’s staff delivers timely information, seeks solutions for problems, answers questions, offers leadership in coordination efforts, shares resources, monitors proposed state and federal actions, and educates the public and legislators about transportation issues.

FREE TRAFFIC VIOLATION REPORTS

The Department of Finance and Administration provides free Traffic Violation Reports to ATA members for their applicants and employees.

  • Members with 1-199 employees are eligible for health insurance benefits by QualChoice
  • All members are eligible for dental and vision coverage
